Submissions

Thank you for expressing an interest in offering your work to Romance Divine, LLC. In submitting your completed manuscript, you must follow the guidelines as described below. Send a cover letter with synopsis, and your manuscript to submissions@romancedivine.com. Please indicate if the work is currently under consideration with another publishing company (simultaneous submission).

All submissions must be electronic (in .rtf) format. We do not accept paper submissions at this time. Formatting tips can be found below.

Please be sure your manuscript is the final draft. While one of our editors will help you finalize your work, they are not going to rewrite it. If you choose to write under a pseudonym, Romance Divine, LLC will provide complete confidentiality.

Formatting Your Manuscript

Please use the following formatting rules in preparing your manuscript for submission:

Your manuscript must be in RTF (Rich/Revisable Text Format--a .RTF file extension) document. NO other file formats are acceptable.
You MUST use 12 point font, Times New Roman.
Use two dashes (--) for an em dash (--). There MUST be NO spaces in front or behind the em dash.
Do not use en dashes (-- ). Use a single hyphen for hyphenated words.
Use three dots together (...) with no spaces, preceeding, following, or in between, for an ellipsis.
No embedded images. Many e-Book formats do not support embedded images.
For scene breaks, skip a line, insert three centered asterisks (***) and skip another line.

Submitting Your Manuscript

Romance Divine, LLC is open to all unsolicited manuscripts. We only accept electronic submissions as an e-mail with the manuscript as an attachment.

Cover Letter (e-Mail):

The Subject Line must be marked like this: Submission-title of novel

The cover letter must contain the following information:

Your full (legal) name (use upper and lowercase, not all capitals).
Your e-mail address.
Your snail-mail address.
Your phone number.
The exact title of your book (use upper and lowercase, not all capitals).
The name you want on the book (pen name or real name).
Approximate number of words (not number of pages).
Specific genre (go to "About Us" page for definitions).
One short paragraph synopsis describing what the novel/e-book is about. Your plot synopsis is a brief narrative summary--no more than a page--of your novel written in the present tense. The purpose of a plot synopsis is to hook a reader's interest. Make it as easy and enticing to read as possible. You want to get the story across to the managing editor, so write as clearly and tightly as possible. You can create the synopsis as a single, stand alone piece or include it as a part of your cover e-mail.
A short biography of you with notation of other published works, awards, etc.
Your promotion/marketing plan for your book. We expect you to help promote your book (it is your book after all) with word of mouth, getting reviews, book signings, maintaining a website, etc.
Include your website link, if you have one.

Manuscript Attachment

Attach the complete manuscript as a separate RTF-format file. File name must be thetitleofyourbook.rtf. On the first page of your manuscript, at the top, you must have the following information (duplicated from your email):

Your legal name.
Your current e-mail address.
The exact title of your book.
The name you want on the book (pen name or legal name).
